Stevie Ray Vaughan

Early
Stephen Ray Vaughan was born October 3, 1954 at Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas, Jim and Martha Vaughan. His brother, Jimmie Vaughan, is three years older. Early Career

A year later, he found a battered 1963 Fender Stratocaster in a music store in Austin. Remain as his favorite guitar for the rest of his life.
In late December 1974, Vaughan joined Popular Austin a group Paul Ray and the Cobras, an average of five shows a week. The Cobras took a hard and won "Band of the Year in a poll in the music of Austin. Three years later, Vaughan has left the Cobras and formed Triple Threat Revue with singer Lou Ann Barton, WC Clark on bass, Mike Kindred on keyboards, and Freddie "Pharaoh" Walden on drums. Later, Jackie Newhouse replaced WC Clark on bass and Chris Layton on drums replaced Walden. Vaughan and Lou Ann renamed Barton Double Trouble band if left in 1980 to sing for Roomful of Blues. On December 23, 1979, Vaughan and Lenora "Lenny" Bailey married between sets at the club Roma Inn night in Austin.
Double Trouble
Tommy Shannon, bassist Krackerjack, Jackie Newhouse replaced in 1981. In July, the group played a music festival in Manor, Texas, and a videotape of the performance was given to the Rolling Stones, drummer Charlie Watts. Double Trouble, then played a private party for the Rolling Stones Danceteria nightclub in New York. On July 17, 1982, Vaughan and Double Trouble played the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, the first unsigned act to perform at the event. The album 1991 The Sky Is Crying is the first in a series of posthumous albums box success.
